The Perception Pictures team have just shot a trailer for our feature film (currently in development) Stray. We were fortunate enough to have an amazing cast and crew who all contributed to making the day run smoothly. This was the first project for us to be shot on 35mm and we look forward to unveiling the results of our efforts later in the year. A big thank you to everyone who helped out. We couldn't have done it without your hard work and kindness.

The Foal has now hit 31 festival screenings at international and national festivals. Over the past 15 months, The Foal won the Best Short Award at the  2011 9th Angry Film Festival, the 2010 Shorts on the Green Film Festival and the 2010 In the Bin Short Film Festival. We also received the Super Short Golden Oosikar Award at the 2010 Anchorage International Film Festival and nominations for Best Film at the 2011 Long Island International Film Expo (Best Foreign Short) and the 2010 Golden Knight Malta Int’l Film Festival.

Last but not least, our little star Olivia Quinn who played the lead role of Chloe was nominated for Best Actor at the 2011 St Kilda Film Festival. Olivia was the only child and the only female actor to be nominated amongst the other contenders who were all well-known male television actors. Olivia didn't win but we feel that it was such a big achievement to be nominated. The winner was Reg Gorman of "The Sullivans" fame, who won for his role as a 70 year old stroke victim. The other nominees were Miles Szanto from "The Elephant Princess" and Don Hany from "White Collar Blue" and "East West 101".

The Foal's recent screens include the following festivals:

2011 – The Foal, Brooklyn Film Festival, June 11th
2011 – The Foal, Newfilmmakers Los Angeles, June 14th
2011 – The Foal, Long Island International Film Expo, July 12th

THE GREAT DOWNLOAD DEBATE SURVEY RESULTS PUBLISHED
